About the trek
The 33 km Kuari Pass trek itinerary is divided into a long 6 day and 5 nights in the laps of the Himalayas.
Day 1
Day begins with meeting your fellow trekkers at a pre-decided spot in Haridwar. Meet and greet your family for the next 6 days. Get on your trek with a drive to Joshimath, a holy pilgrimage for Hindus. This place has a huge holistic significance. Enjoy a meal on the way and the absolutely beautiful way through the mountains. Spend a night in Joshimath and enjoy the beauty of lit, sparkling cities at night.
Day 2
The day starts with a drive from Joshimath to Dhak village. This is the point from where trekking begins. Move ahead on the mix trail with a steep path at some places and a gradual path at others. You will come across various villages throughout the trail to Gulling top which is about 5 km. Enjoy camping for a night amidst the beauty of nature.
Day 3
Catch the beautiful sun rays and start your trek to the camp. Move ahead to this 5.5 km steep trek trail through thick forests of oak, walnuts and pines with the most surreal landscape running with you throughout. Reach the campsite by afternoon and soak in the most beautiful and panoramic view. Enjoy the scrumptious lunch and have a walk around the top. Capture some best moments, enjoy with your fellow trekkers and enjoy an overnight stay in comfortable tents.
Day 4
Wake up to the most beautiful view and feed upon a tasty breakfast and start your trek to the top of the summit. The trek to the Kuari pass top from the campsite is divided into two halves, the first one is a steep slope and the second half is an easy gradual ascent. Come across some of the best views of lush green meadows and dense forests during summer and the white landscape with thick blankets of snow as far as you can see during winters.
Reach the amazingly beautiful Khullar top and cross a broken bridge to continue your ascent thereafter to reach Kuari pass. Witness the astonishing view of mesmerizing snow capped peaks and fill yourself with thrill. The unmatched view of Nanda Devi, Ghori parvat, Neel kantha, Kedarnath peak, Mukut Parvat, Balakun, Nanda ghunti and many more peaks will leave you in the most beautiful scene of your life. Absorb and collect every possible sight of the place, click pictures, rest for a while and start your ascent journey back to the camp.
Day 5
Grab a delicious breakfast at the camp and start your descent journey to the Dhak village which is an easy 11 km downward trek. Reach the Dhak village from where you will be driven back to Joshimath. Enjoy your lunch on the way and reach Joshimath by late afternoon or evening. Walk around the place, explore the beauty of this Hindu pilgrimage, enjoy local delicacies of the place and experience the culture of the place. Stay in a guest House for a night.
Day 6
Get up early and start the journey back to Haridwar. It will be a long drive of around 12 hours. Enjoy breakfast and lunch on the way. Reach the end point, Haridwar.
This marks the end of this wonderful trek on the most beautiful trail amidst forests and mountains. Return with a heart full of memories and a relaxed and satisfied soul.
